How to Build a Medium Pond

Step 1

Mark the desired location of the pond with rope or string and dig the hole. Leave a mound of dirt along the perimeter of the pond.

Step 2

Cover the entire area with the liner. The liner should extend over the sides of the pond by 10-12 in.

Step 3

Cover the liner with rock including the 10-12 in. around the perimeter; leave a small area void of rock to run the cords outside the pond. Trim away excess liner.

Step 4

Spray Waterfall Foam Sealant in cracks and crevices of the waterfall to create a water-resistant seal and ensure efficient water flow over the rocks. Fill the pond with water while continuing to smooth the liner and placing additional rocks as needed. Enjoy!

Step 5

Fill pond with water. Add Chlorine Remover before adding any fish or plants to water; it removes chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals from water.

Step 6

Sit back and enjoy your new creation!
