Our Pressurized Biological Filter with Ultra Violet Clarifier is a natural and complete garden pond stabilizing system that cleans pond water while it adds essential bacteria needed for a healthy environment. Here’s how it works. First the water is drawn through an opening and passes the UV clarifier which sterilizes the water. Then it’s cleaned as it’s forced through two filter sections; a coarse filter and a fine filter. When the water leaves the filter it passes over the bio balls and picks up positive bacteria that adds to the pond’s natural balance. The good bacterium is a natural stabilizer which balances the nitrates that fish waste generates. This filter kit should be used with a pond pump.
