TotalPond Products You Will Need:
Container Fountain Kit
Aquatic Plant Basket
Chlorine Remover


Tools You Will Need:
Sealant, protective wear
Gloves
Garden hose

Decorative Items You Will Need:
Container (at least 18” in diameter and at least 5”-8” deep)
Aquatic plants
Aquatic plant mix

clean the container

Clean the container to remove any dust or debris from the inside.

If the container is not already watertight, use a liner or sealant. For this project we used a sealant.

Note: Please make sure to follow the sealant's label directions during application.

You can run the Fountain Kit's cord over the side or drill a hole in the container.

For this project, we will run the cord over the back (option 1).

Please follow the Fountain Kit instruction manual if you wish to drill a hole (option 2).

Fill the container with water leaving a few inches from the bottom of the rim.

You will be topping off the water in a later step.

add Chlorine Remover to the water

Follow the instructions on the bottle and add Chlorine Remover to the water.

Chlorine Remover makes the tap water safe for your aquatic plants.

Please wait 24 hours before adding aquatic plants once you add the Chlorine Remover.

Place the Fountain Kit

Place the Fountain Kit inside the container in the desired position.

Run the cord out the back of the container.

Note: For this project we did not use the included extensions for the Fountain Kit.

Fill the Aquatic Plant Basket with an aquatic plant mix

Fill the Aquatic Plant Basket with an aquatic plant mix.

Place the aquatic plants in and fill in around the plant with aquatic plant mix.

TIP! When removing the aquatic plant from its container, gently loosen the root ball.

Thoroughly water the basket to help compact the aquatic plant mix.

Then carefully lower the plant basket into the patio pond.

TIP!: If you want the plant basket to sit higher inside the container you can use the Fountain Kit's container stands.

Fill the container with water leaving a few inches from the top.

For this container the water line is at the bottom of the rim.

plug in and enjoy

Add any additional plants like floating plants and make final adjustments.
